Just like it rolled off the assembly line in the 80's . . .Brand-new, Highway Stars exclusive factory original reproduction pair of "Gas Spring" Hood Support Rods for 1984 -1987 Buick Regal, Grand National, Turbo Regal, and 1987 GNX with a STOCK STEEL HOOD. Designed by the engineers with the specific specs including, pressure, compression, extension, length and stroke for these Buicks.
You may find these on any untouched original survivor Grand National, Turbo Regal or GNX vehicle, or in the case of our Washington customer, he removed them and kept them in storage. Here is a photo of his original factory hood supports . . 
"Gas Spring" ALL BLACK hood supports were the GM factory original hood supports used on every Buick Grand National, Turbo Regal and GNX back in the day that rolled off the assembly line. A concours correct part for your 100 point show car restoration. If you refer to the GM service manual, you will notice it is also called: Rod, Hood Open Asst. Gas or Assist Rod
